This initiative focuses on supporting youth ages 14 to 17 years old through counseling, education, and activities that foster positive development.
A Holistic Approach to Youth Development
Bridging the Gap is a community-based approach to prevention, offering evidence based services that address the needs of at-risk youth. Key components of the program include:
- Comprehensive Prevention & Education – Equipping youth with knowledge and resources to make informed choices.
- Evidence-Based Risk Assessments – Identifying individual needs and risks to provide tailored support.
- Conflict Resolution & Violence Prevention – Teaching critical skills to navigate challenges and avoid negative influences.
- Substance Abuse Education – Raising awareness about the dangers of substance use and promoting healthy alternatives.
- Leadership & Career Development – Preparing youth for the future through mentorship, goal setting, and job readiness training.
- Family Strengthening Activities – Encouraging family involvement to build a strong support system at home.
Through mentorship and structured pro-social activities, participants will be paired with positive adult role models who help guide them toward success.
Program Leadership & Expected Impact
A dedicated multidisciplinary team will lead Bridging the Gap. The goal is to reduce juvenile delinquency rates through regular assessments and targeted interventions. By addressing risk factors early and providing positive alternatives, Bridging the Gap aims to create lasting change in the lives of youth and their communities.
