florence AARP chapter helps pee dee healthy start in supporting communities and families.

Pee Dee Healthy Start, Inc. was grateful to receive a generous donation of Pampers and wipes from Florence AARP Chapter 2401 to support families and participants in our programs. The donation was presented to our CEO Madie A. Robinson by Janet Coles James, President, and Delsenia Murchinson, Secretary, whose continued commitment to community care helps ensure that mothers and babies in our region have access to essential resources. We sincerely appreciate their support and partnership in helping strengthen healthy starts for families in the Pee Dee.

Community support plays an important role in helping us meet the needs of local families. If your organization, business, or group is interested in contributing items, hosting a donation drive, or partnering with Pee Dee Healthy Start to support mothers and babies, we welcome the opportunity to connect. Please contact our office to learn more about how you can make a meaningful impact in our community.

Pee Dee Healthy Start, operating in Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marion, Marlboro, and Williamsburg Counties, is a prominent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a 30-year track record of effective community service in the Pee Dee region. Established in 1991, this initiative emerged in response to alarming rates of infant mortality, low birth weight infants, and insufficient healthcare for women of childbearing age, particularly in the rural counties of South Carolina’s Pee Dee region. With a strong community presence and commitment to addressing critical health challenges, Pee Dee Healthy Start continues to significantly impact maternal and infant well-being.
