The Florence Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. recently made a generous contribution to Pee Dee Healthy Start, Inc. This effort was led by the International Awareness and Involvement Committee chaired by Dr. Tonya F. Mack, who coordinated a collection of diapers, wipes, and other essential items for local mothers and babies.
Chapter President Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Singleton Parr shared that this year’s theme, is “Empowering Women, Uplifting Communities, Together with Purpose”. She noted that supporting Pee Dee Healthy Start, Inc. aligns perfectly with that mission.
The chapter is also preparing to celebrate its 75th anniversary, a milestone that highlights decades of dedicated service, advocacy, and community impact. Members expressed gratitude for the opportunity to uplift families in the Pee Dee region and reaffirm their commitment to making a difference where it matters most. Pee Dee Healthy Start, Inc. extends heartfelt thanks for the donation and the ongoing partnership that strengthens its ability to support the health and well being of mothers, babies, and families across the area.
