Maternal & Child Health

Healthy Start Eliminating Disparities in Perinatal Health Program

We are devoted to building the health and wellbeing of high-risk African American women and their families, and at-risk young adults, including males/fathers. The program’s goal is to combat infant mortality and maternal mortality and morbidity in rural communities. PDHS provides these services for free within Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marlboro, Marion, and Williamsburg Counties.   Funding for this program is provided by Health Resources & Services Administration.
