Pee dee healthy start, inc. Receives 2025 champion of the community award

On Saturday, August 23rd, Pee Dee Healthy Start, Inc. was recognized by the Pee Dee Medical Professionals Association (PDMPA) as the 2025 Champion of the Community during the association’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament. The recognition highlights the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of mothers, babies, and families across the Pee Dee region.  

Since its golf tournament inception in 2021, this marks the fifth year PDMPA has honored community organizations for their service and impact. Along with the award, Pee Dee Healthy Start, Inc. received a financial contribution to further support its programs and outreach efforts. The acknowledgment underscores the importance of collaboration between healthcare professionals and community-based organizations in addressing critical health challenges.

PDMPA’s Golf Tournament Senior Advisor, Dr. Tyrone D. Wallace, DC, and the PDMPA Golf Tournament Planning Team, expressed their excitement in presenting this year’s award to Pee Dee Healthy Start, Inc. They commended Ms. Robinson and the entire staff for their dedication and the meaningful impact they continue to make in the communities they serve.  

The Pee Dee Medical Professionals Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 2012. Active members of the organization consist of minority healthcare providers inclusive of, but not limited to physicians, dentists, podiatrists, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, mental health professionals and mid-level providers from all over the world.  PDMPA has made a deliberate decision to decrease health disparities in the surrounding underserved communities of the Pee Dee region by increasing health literacy and improving access to quality medical care. PDMPA prides itself in its annual ā€œWalk to Health!ā€ event, community engagement, and golf tournament fundraiser which helps to provide needed scholarship opportunities for both high school and college juniors and seniors.  PDMPA remains vigilant and committed to supporting their vision to educate and enrich communities regarding health and healthcare related issues.

Pee Dee Healthy Start, operating in Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marion, Marlboro, and Williamsburg Counties, is a prominent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a 30-year track record of effective community service in the Pee Dee region.
