Pee Dee Healthy Start is joining millions around the world by participating in the global

This Giving Tuesday, Pee Dee Healthy Start will inspire generosity by encouraging the
community to join us in giving every child what they deserve, a healthy start!
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and
organizations to transform their communities and their world. Giving Tuesday will kick off the
generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 29, 2022, and
throughout the year.

At Pee Dee Healthy Start Inc., we believe that healthy families are the basis of every child’s
promise for a bright future. The strength and resiliency of these families provide the backbone of
vibrant, thriving communities. We are committed to improving infant, child, youth, and family
development and are leaders in providing comprehensive services throughout the rural Pee Dee.
Pee Dee Healthy Start Inc. impacts communities across the rural Pee Dee with services provided
in homes, schools, prisons and community settings in Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence,
Marion, Marlboro, and Williamsburg Counties.

Through our Giving Tuesday efforts, we are encouraging our communities and partnership
network to join us in this day of generosity.

GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to
do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires
hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

“GivingTuesday inspires people all around the world to embrace their power to drive progress
around the causes they care about, not just on one day but throughout the year.” said Asha
Curran, GivingTuesday’s CEO, and co-founder. “With country and community leaders, millions
of organizations, and countless givers of all kinds, GivingTuesday is creating a shared space
where we can see the radical implications of a more generous world.”
